@czoraa21 Don't listen to nikkonaa, they are flat and work fine, but they aren't optimized for lifting like these VS shoes are

I use New Balance NB520's, it IS a running shoe, but it's alright for me. I don't do heavy lifting though. Mostly circuit training on free weights, weights are around 25% of bodyweight, 8-10 exercises, 10-12 reps, 3 sets. And yes, if your doing heavy lifting (eg. strength or hypertrophy training), then correct footwear is a must.

toooo expensive for me
Almost everyone in my gym wears Nikes or some type of running shoe, even when they are lifting. I see a few wear chucks and I think I saw just one guy wear olympic weight lifting shoes. I can't imagine squatting in running shoes. Just thinking about it makes my knee joints hurt.
