  • avete notato i tempi? confrontateli con marta argerich.

  • Superbo e indimenticabile.

  • Gavazzeni and Michelangeli! I love this Piano Concerto! I find it a little fast...but just a little....

  • Italian ? In the period 1940 till his death who else has there been on the international stage except a few who studied with him? I'd even like to know of at least two just to hear some other playing. The only other I know is Italian- American a Horowitz rival well represented here .Cant remember his name Pollini of course was already perfect;just like Martha he learned nothing directly as most prolly didn't from this master . But I was not there maybe the little ones got something !

  • Michelangeli: my favorite pianist, he is sublime

  • Rachmaninov must have taken so much for his piano concertos from this one.

  • Thanks, klabm7

  • The conductor is Gianandrea gavazzeni.

This was recorded in Vatican,28.April '62.

  • Wonderful!

Such a clarity and aristocraty of feeling!

Someone knows who is the conductor?
