There is no asbestos present in this boiler. If you are attempting to remove any boiler or heating equipment, please check for the presence of asbestos. This should be done by a qualified individual. The natural gas supply to this property was shut down before any torching commenced. There was no need for spark blankets for all combustibles were removed before torching.
