WHEN GORDON BROWN SOLD BRITAINS GOLD

http://www.financialsense.com/fsu/editorials/schoon/2009/0318.html

However, much to the shock of Goldman Sachs and the central bankers, in 1999 gold stopped falling; and, because Goldman Sachs short position was so large, Goldman possibly could suffer catastrophic losses.

This is when Englands then Chancellor of the Exchequer, Gordon Brown, on May 8, 1999 announced England would sell over 50 % of its gold reserves, 415 tons of the most precious metal on earth at the very bottom of the market.

The decision to sell Englands gold thereby saved Goldman Sachs and insured the political future of Gordon Brown. Goldman Sachs is still in business and Gordon Brown is now the Prime Minister of England—proving that good things come to those who do the bidding of the powerful

  • @PlatinumGordon well thats the mainstream media for you, i'm sure you take what they say with a pinch of salt, i know I do. It's the BBC's role to side with the establishment. The last thing she said about 'if the govt was here i'm sure theyd take issue with Max'....says a lot really. It shouldnt be her job to speculate what the govt or any opposing view might say.

  • Max is a treasure, and Gordon Brown is a stupid asshole.

  • I wondered why we don't hear Max Keiser on Radio 5 Dead anymore. Now I know the reason. Seems like the truth is just a little too much for the BBC, their puppet masters, and - last but not least - the sport-saturated witless live-on-yer-knees cowards who listen to this stupid radio station.

  • There is a minor mistake in the video description. Gordon Brown is the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. There has never been a Prime Minister of 'England'.

In fact, Gordon Brown isn't English.

  • programs that dont produce and all programs that are redundant.

Gordon Dung wants to employ everyone thats under 25!!! WTF!! Seriously hasnt anyone learnt anything from the collapse of the Soviet Union?? Everyone had a job in the old SU but everyone was broke.

If you look at history(1921, S. Korea) the best way out of recession is to cut taxes(to let those that do produce)to flurish and provide jobs, and vastly shrink the unproductive parasite by cutting government spending.

  • You know what i hate? I sit and watch PMQs and sit and watch how BOTH parties boast about all the spending theyre gonna do and how both partys try and insult each other by repeating "Your party wants to cut spending we want to continue it"

Cant anyone be honest? I believe the Conservatives have the better economic plans(at least history proves that)but they dont go far enough!!

You cant spend your way into prosperity, just ask someone who keeps taking on credit cards. they need to cut all

  • This lady is creepy.

  • OMG the woman's an absolute idiot...

  • To those who have read 1984 I'm sure you can see the worlds end game. who would have thought is possible? Peace.

  • In the U.S. where all we have is media whores and bs Max leaves us with feeling there is someone speaking for the people ! We need this more now than ever. Rip it Max !!
