Thanks for all the "Likes!" - it makes it easier to make more Genki Japan videos!

What are you thankful for? Write it up in the comments :)

Lots of North American teachers have been asking for a Thanksgiving Song (because there doesn't seem to be one!) So I wrote one for you! Look out for the surprises.

If you do celebrate Thanksgiving it would be cool if you could tell your friends, and even if you don't hopefully you'll like the song!

Teachers can play the song and then ask the kids to draw what they are most thankful for.

Happy Thanksgiving and thanks for all your support over the year!

Be genki,

Richard

Thanksgiving Song: What are you thankful for?
======================================
By Richard Graham

What are you thankful for?
What are you thankful for?

I'm thankful for my friends.
I'm thankful for my school.
I'm thankful for my toys.
I'm thankful for my food.

What are you thankful for?
What are you thankful for?

I'm thankful for my family.
I'm thankful for my clothes.
I'm thankful for my teacher.
I'm thankful for everything in the world!

  • do japanese people celebrate thanksgiving? :)

  • @DestinyQx There is actually a public holiday next week called "kinro kansha no hi" which I just realised is sort of like Thanksgiving in English "Labour Thanksgiving Day" But just like most other holidays, it now just means sleeping, shopping and Starbucks! So no US style Thanksgiving. Families come together in August for Obon, New Year and sometimes Golden Ween in May.

  • I'm thankful for my Genki Flakes, with a free shark in every box :D

  • @AliJ5533 You gotta love those that spot the details! :)
