Sherrill had a beautiful voice and Elvis loved this group, especially to have available night and day to sing with him (wish I could afford one). It also gave him a breather on stage when he needed one, mainly towards the end. I was happy to be in College Park when this was recorded. It was quite a show, to say the least. - JG

They obviously all have nice voices, but it's my opinion that this version lacks all the feeling that the original conveyed. The up tempo at the bridge (at approx 1:14) is way to happy for a song of self reflection and despair, and the ending is just atrocious. I felt like I was stuck in the lounge of a cruise ship.

I didn't claim it was Elvis who sounded awful, just that this version is terrible. How he allowed this, or played any role in allowing this to be part of his concert I don't understand. But then again, drugs cloud judgment, poor tormented soul....

What a special piece of treasure.

I love this song, and am an Elvis fan (saw him in concert, great!).
Sorry though, this is awful, like drunk karaoke...

@Ribzypunk Why do you say this? I don´t understand? Elvis only sing in the first time of the song. Later sing any vocal of the voice group not Elvis.
