  • sorry i accidently rated u down, sorry. if u can join the military u "can" fly jets, i say "can" cause it's pretty damn hard to be a fighter pilot no matter who u are. u would need a college degree in some type of engineering of aviation science.

  • she has airborne and HALO wings. enough said.

  • @TubsMcLard Not really. The Air Force tends to be picky about what degree you have if you're going through OTC, a scientific degree is preferred and aviation, obviously, goes a long way. It's not like the idea that many Air Force pilots hold aviation degrees is farfetched.

  • @TubsMcLard Hey tubs? Whether that's true or not, they didn't just walk out of their Accounting classes and hop in the cockpit. They either went through four years of ROTC and recieved a commission, or went through OTC, then went through a ridiculously long, intensive process and education in order to fly fighter jets. That is the point Lucky was trying to make up there, that you don't just wander into a recruiters office with your GED and get shown where the hanger is.

  • My son AB Hodges is graduating from AFBMT at Lackland in 9 days and will start SERE training in May. I am so proud of him.

  • @blady0624 You have to be a U.S citizen to join any branch of the military. Also you have to be an officer (have college degree) to be a pilot

  • @sniper244 after serving for four years my one advice that i advise is if you don't believe what the recruiter is saying wright it out on a piece of paper and make him sign there job is to basically to get you to join the military at the cheapest price possible.

  • @Cullamore Thanks a lot! I took the asvab about 8 yrs ago and scored a 75 I think. I am contemplating going AF with a contract for SERE. If I can get one for Pararescue, Ill jump on it. Thanks for the info. I didnt want to deal with a recruiter for a simple question.

  • @sniper244 actually you are just eligible, the cut off lines for paratroopers is 36 that is the latest there can be no waivers and you are expected to at least 60 on the ASVAB (normally you would be expected to get 55 but because of age they expect you to make it up with wit.) all though the ASVAB is pretty easy depending on your education a example of one of the questions on a past test was. Evaluate 3x + 7 when x = -3. the answer is -2 as long as you have about a 11th grade education ur good
