Yeah, well.. Paco, the foundation layer, legend. To me, he is overrated quite a lot. It's all a hype. I mean, I admire his work from late 60-ties and 70-ties but after flute master Pardo joined and jazzy obsession it all got too irritating to listen. I know many people will disagree, but that's a fact. But I still can enjoy his bulerias if not accompanied by anything else but palmas. He can still play that kind of vibe which interests me, but he rarely does. he's..... ok..

Actually, a matter of fact, even Vicente admits that he is nobody without Paco. Harmonically, Vicente isn't doing anything Paco hasn't already done. I'm a Vicente fan, but I'm also a lifelong professional guitarist, and I play compositions by both. Believe me, Paco set the bar, and Vicente is deeply in his debt.

matter of perception. If mathematics is your cup of coffe in music, then, Paco is the one. If harmony, Paco doesnt stand a chance.. But take it easy, all good (:

@guitarfella581 of course, Viente himself would disagree with you, strongly. Everybody knows that Paco is the King of modern Flamenco, while Vicente is the prince. paco created everything that Vicente is doing.
