What's subsonic here? It may remind you of a subsonic effect perhaps but this seems to be clearly a matter of valves or pumps andpulsing pressure. Perhaps there is air in the pipes.

What a truly enthralling instrument. Wonderful!

So subsonic means you can't hear them?

I think it's really ace how dedicated you are to the frankly fascinating cause of making hydraulic musical instruments - as a musician myself, I'd do anything to get my hands on one of these beautiful instruments! Please, never stop playing with them :)

Thank you for the encouraging words!
What's most fascinating (and interesting) about this oscillation in the water, is that since the speed of sound is about 4.5 times faster in water than in air, one would expect extremely low frequencies to be nearly impossible without extremely long organ pipes. However, what's interesting here is that oscillations in water can go all the way down to less than 1 cycle per second, in a fountain that's not a hundred times bigger than a large cathedral!

it's below the range of human hearing, but still possible to feel the vibrations, and also some of the higher harmonics may be audible
