  • As the loving owner of 2 intelligent, adorable, and animated pet rats, I will put this kindly: IF YOU'RE GONNA KILL IT, DO IT FAST - NOT LIKE A JACKASS.

  • Why would you kill it? Just release it away from your home, or use a snap-trap next time for a quick death! This is just cruel, the poor thing is terrified.

  • u should kill her with ratpoison, somethings wrong with that rat, but dont hurt her.

  • @DunhillX1 I'll drown you in a cage, you're disgusting and you should be eliminated from earth. Does that sound nice?

  • @Ayax1503 That's a male, and no they don't have to kill him.

  • @bluemjaycee You shouldn't kill them, learn to secure your home and food more and they won't come in. Leave food outside for them.

  • @pippy1994 no way! drown them in the cage...much better! rats are disgusting and should be eliminated!

  • @Dosalt

I totally agree that my neighbours need to stop leaving dog food outside;it's just stupid and encourages the rats to come their way. I also know all about their A&P because I studied medicine. I too keep my outside immaculately clean to avoid this problem. But seriously if you suspect a rat has rabies you DON'T release it;you turn it over to the health authorities for testing and removal.

  • @Babyhowdy233 pain is same for rats just like for humans. Rats share very similar anatomy. It may or may not have rabis infected but these are wild rats. In the wild it's no big deal. Your neighbors should not keep food stuff outside because that's what attract rats. I use to see huge rats outside my house once in a while but I always keeep my outside clean. Final words: killing them won't solve any problem.

  • @Dosalt

No, this rat must be put down because it gives every indication of having rabies.Normally a wild rat when caught doesn't react like this; this one is very aggressive. My neighbours had a terrible rat problem because thery kept leaving bowls of dog food outside. They had a special trap set up by ResCon and it caught three that acted like this rat. The man who collected it every week immediately spotted their peculiar behavior and when tested they were indeed rabid.
