#16 Macedon vs Pontus: Rome Total War: Online commentary

[Watch in HD for best viewing] A Video commentary on my 16th RTW online battle. I lead an ill-equiped (and somewhat startled) Macedonian Army whilst my opponant, [Corinth]_ThomasWilliam_[K], leads a cunning army of Pontus.

one advice: when you use macedon, always use your pikes and cav as one. for some reason companions arent that strong in this game, so your pikes always need support from comps, and the comps always need support from the pikes. and btw when you are not in combat, dont have your phalanx line in phalanx mode, cus then they cant run. only take phalanx on when you are very close and are attacking the enemy line. and then you can phalanx charge.:) just some tips:) gg m8

That's some of the best advice I got so far :) I spent an hour last night practising my phalanx charge against the computer :)

Stay tuned for my next phalanx fight... should be quite different ;)

blondini m8 those aren't catas XD those are cappadocian cav which are armored forms of companions they dont' have the mace lol . and trust me they are no where near as strong as catas

OMG you are correct LOL I had no idea. I have never fought that faction before and made the assumption that because it looked like one ... it must be one LOL

Not your fault LOL You are entitled to change... I am just annoyed at myself for not checking before committing. I liken it to equipping my roman army with swords and finding out it's actually Empire TW and it's a gun battle LOL

no problem:) but never phalanx charge another phalanx unit(exept when they are facing wrong way or something) then just simply put the them in phalanx when u are close and about o engage:)
