@friesiancowboy Yeah I know what you mean, however if you have a good look at the video you see that there is an opening on the side(at the bedding level). So if a cow becomes ill it's easy to remove her from the others. On the other hand: I do agree with you that the stairs might be too steep.
@friesiancowboy That's probably because they clean the bedding area only once or twice a year. If you start the bedding area level at the same level of the feeding area you can't keep it clean enough.

I see the point of that, but it justs seems a problem if a cow becomes lame, as she would find it difficult to climb the stairs...
