Ivanovic - Graf forehand comparison

Pause:
0:11 Ivanovic stance
0:24 Graf stance
Most of Graf's forehands are running and she uses it to generate power and control direction exceptionally well. Ivanovic, despite the same stance and taking it late, isn't usually a running forehand. Steffi's exceptional footwork allows her to use such an exceptional but unorthodox shot. You'll never see anyone teaching that to their students.

meh its like comparing a volkswagon to a ferrari .....steffi =G.O.A.T

@egg1080 Grafs was the best of all time...her forehand technique was horrendous, no one would even think about advocating to tennis players about hitting the ball that late, but her amazing athletic ability and superior timing allowed her to make the shot more times than not...but when her forehand was off she struggled to beat anyone

Steffi's forehand is the weapon of mass destruction, but it is not the "key". Nowadays many top players also have big forehands as major asset not inferior to Steffi's. The big difference is, agility.
Without those amazing feet, Graf wouldn't be able to dominate the tour for a long time with her typical game. Slice, slice, slice, slice, slice, run around the backhand and hit with a big forehand.

graf's forehand is the best all the time

some stunning commentary from Mary-Joe. SO SIMILAR!

ivanovic was world number one for how long
twenty seconds
lol

they are 2 of my favourite players. ivanovic doesnt need to do that much to get back to the top of the game, she needs a far better serve to start with as her current serve is letting her down so badly at the moment.

steffi is the best

Ivanovic's forehand is so much prettier. Steffi had one of the best of all-time, but it was one ugly shot.
Steffi's forehand is the best in Tennis history!!!

Are you guys serious. She wasnt saying Ana is better, Ana is as good, or whatever. She was just saying her forehand is VERY similar to Graf's.
