  • Wow! I can't believe somebody else has heard of this song besides me! I sang it while in High School for the Texas State-Wide competition (I got straight 1's pretty excited about that).

The ending was the hardest portion since you had to sing so fast.

My uncle, music major from Rice, said that he had never heard such song and found it unlikely that Beethoven composed the piece. I still like it though. Where can I obtain a copy of the sheet music, any ideas?

  • It was actually in a book I sang a few songs out of, The First Book of Baritone/Bass solos from G. Schirmer. I'm not sure if the song is even out there in any other publications just because it's so random (My theory is that Beethoven composed the tune but not the lyrics). I could probably send you a scanned copy if you really wanted it.

  • @JoelChanson Its funny that I came across this comment. I'm watching this video 'cause I might do this piece for my audition to UNCG. Weirddddd. Of all the things to come across.

  • Hey, I know this a pretty old video, but where did you find the sheet music to this? I found it in a book, but I didn't want the whole book. Or even if you could send me the lyrics? I can learn it pretty easily, I think.

  • I'm doing it too. I'm a music ed major at UNCG and my voice prof. says it really is by Beethoven.

  • Good job.

  • im singing it this year in highschool for UIL solo (sophmore year) it is a really good song!

i dound it is The First Book of Baritone solos from G Schirmer as well =)
