  • I had the opportunity to work with Frankie for three days on an episode of Happy Days about 1981, He was very delightful. He still looked like he did in the 1950s. One day Annette Funicello and James Darren visited the set. I was playing the part of Abe Lincoln in a bit where he is doing a stage show and the record player gets stuck. Long story but great memories.

  • Mommy I remember when Vickie and I would sing this song and you laughed and say you stinker's ! Oh I love you ! You are free and out of pain . May peace be with you! I also remember when you called me baby my georgie

  • 12 people havn't picked up 'Time-Life Presents: The Teen Years'.

  • Here's one of the legends from our past who still comes across on stage and the T.V.

screen like a million bucks today. Great job on recent PBS special and a consistent

sellout in concert. Deserves respect as the enduring, dedicated, star and the professional

which he is. Nice guy to meet in person, as well.

  • @MrSecureT....mine too!

  • How could I not like this song? It was #1 on the day I was born!

  • I remember this song from years ago but never paid any attention to it. A few days ago the wife and I were going down the road when this came on and I told her this is "our song".

Sometimes the timing has to be just right with the right person.

  • Strong melody... and Avalon was a cute kid who sang very well.

  • @Featureman would love to hear more! My Mother got me hooked on Frankie and Annette years ago. My Mom graduated high school in 1959 and she passed away 10 years ago. Watching these videos and the Frankie and Annette movies make me think of her. Breaks my heart that Annette is suffering with MS, nobody should have to suffer like that.

  • One of the top songs of 1959 - the last #1 hit of the 1950s. Such nice ear candy and perfect to round out that decade. Thanks for posting
