@karlkarlkarl1234 you`re right, but it does seem odd that one of the girls has the scar and birth mark and the fact that the father predicted that his wife would concieve twins (unless twin run in the family anyway). But I also think your point is correct, it also seems like a coping mechanism for the parents at the same time.

The eye as a camera that can work in reverse explains ghosts. Cryptomnesia explains reincarnation. Apparently, the brain is like a harddrive whose memory can be tapped when the person is unconcsious, as proven by that woman who didn't know English but who burst into song with English lyrics. With regard to aliens, where are the fossilized transistors? There's also a cultural tie to all of this phenomena that is English, Indian and American respectively.

It seems that under such extreme grief that father used the reincarnation idea as a coping mechanism, and this expectation then drove further manifestations and perceived occurances.
