Muhammad claimed in sura 13:02 21:33 31:29 36:40 and 39:05 that sun and moon travel across sky in fixed orbits at fixed speed. He even mentioned in sura kaif (sura 18:85-99) about the rising place of the sun in the east and the setting of the sun in the west in a muddy spring. Of course he had no clue of the solar system. If he did he could have mentioned that earth spins on its axis that makes the sun travel in the sky from east to west and causes day and night;

@orionfox6 - both the Sun and the Moon orbits in their own fixed axis, i.e. they do not "deviate". The "deviation" of night and day is caused by the Earth's axial tilt (or obliquity) and its relation to the rotation axis and plane of orbit. That's why It is summer in the Southern Hemisphere when Winter in the Northern. This is also the reason why the poles observe 6 months day and 6 months night at a stretch and the places near the equator does not see much changes in summer solstice.

The spinning of earth on its axis makes the sun appear to be travellilng from east to west,but muhammad did not know that, otherwise he would have mentioned it in koran. it proves that he had not the slightest idea of the solar system.
