Nevertap Asia 2009 - 66kg - Michael Galvin vs. Josh - Featherweight

One of the matches from the Nevertap Asia Grappling tournament hosted by Tiger Muay Thai in Phuket on the 17th Jan.

This tournament was first round, double elimination. The winner of the winners bracket, faced the winner of the losers bracket to decide 1st and 2nd place. Bronze was given to the runner up of the winners bracket

Nevertap is the most prestigious grappling tournament to ever be held in Southeast Asia. Marc Laimon, Nick Diaz, Ulysses Gomez, Joe Stevenson, and countless other grappling sensation have previously competed in this event.

What makes Nevertap unique is the emphasis on finishing the match. Opponents are penalized for stalling, and encouraged to finish via submission. Matches are judged based on skill and aggression rather than scored on biased point systems.
