The framers would probably think this is cruel and unusual punishment, considering, at the time of the writing of the constitution, the age of consent for the colonies was around 10 to 12 years old.

Also, I am not a sympathizer of pedophiles. I think that no one should be denied basic human dignity or basic rights, even serial killing child rapists. That's just because I hold myself, and my government, to a higher moral standard than serial child rapists.
