Thrips Egg Mite sequence for National Geographic's series "Wild Sex". This sequence was created as if it were rushes just like the other material the editor was using in the hope that it would remain more in keeping with the style of the rest of the show.

  • "Instead of emerging as larvae, like normal bugs"? "Insect world"?

    1. If taken loosely to refer to all arthropods, it's still worth noting that only certain insects have larval stages. Mites are arachnids, and so do not.

    2. If taken specifically, "bugs" refers specifically to hemipteran insects . . . which still bear nymphs, not larvae.

  • Weird!
