This is a great way to kill him, and one I didn't think of! The other way to do it (for those having difficulty with this method) is to drop between the diamonds not onto them. If done right he will hit a diamond and you will fall between them. You only need him to hit them for you to win, even if you hit them after the "crack in the universe" happens.

Interesting.. I tried shooting my mirror image and wasted the bullet.. several times. I gave up and just started jumping around there. Managed to glitch the game somehow, making the mirror image and myself both on the left side of the screen.. then just walked left and made it fall into the diamonds.

All you have to do is jump over it, shoot him and then hop back on. Even if he doesn't fall in when you shoot him just jump across again and he will die

Thanks doortohell this video helped me figure out how to get the second ending! The c button is for running or dashing.
