It's a difficult pill to swallow, but it is reality. Too many dogs, too few homes. Backyard breeders and puppy mills keep churning out litter after litter after litter of cute little puppy store window dogs...

...and so many homeless shelter dogs go unnoticed. Opt to adopt, and spread the news: pet store puppies = puppy mills.

Education, spaying and neutering all animals, stronger laws, compassion - all is needed. There isn't a simple answer. I have adopted several dogs from the shelter and volunteer and donate money. It will never be enough, but it is all I am able to do to help. If everyone would help some, we could make a lot of progress. Killing animals is not something I could do, but I personally would rather be euthanized than abused and starved. Let us band together to solve the problem.

This video is so heartbreaking. John and I donate to the SPCA. However, it's not enough. I don't want to be remembered for my profession. I want to be remembered as someone who helped save animals. I want to help those who have no voice...that would make me feel like I did something right in this life.

im crying my eyes out those poor dogs, theyre walking out those cages as to think kool ive got a new home,not being put to death, i couldnt do that i would feel terrible for doing it.

i never buy animals out of shops i always adopt mine, they need more love.
