Most consider the South Shore of Boston the birthplace of our country because it was right here where the Pilgrims first landed. When you travel the South Shore, you're surrounded by early American history...from classic antique homes to charming villages and towns that we're settled way back in the 1600 and 1700s. But the South Shore is also a fantastic place to visit and explore.

Host Pam Fletcher takes us kayaking on the North River with representatives of the North and South Rivers Watershed Association to discuss how the river is being protected for recreational uses. She also visits the popular living history attraction, Plimoth Plantation. A profile of best places to cycle on the South Shore.
