  • i just replaced hubs and ball joints. when doing this make sure you start with lower ball joints. otherwise you will have to take it all apart again. and the stock lower ball joint doesn't have a c clip like the replacement but still comes out of the bottom. didn't find this information anywhere would have saved me quit a bit of time if i'd have known it.

Thanks for sharing the update. Hopes it saves others some trouble.

  • replacing the bearing is very easy on a 02 durango r/t it took less than 1hr. with basic

hand tools . if you don't have an impact gun to take off the half shaft bolt.with the truck still on the ground take the center cap off then pull the cotterpin and cover

off take a 32mm socket and a 24 in breaker bar to remove the nut. to remove the

hub bolts there's 3 of them use a 16 in. 3/8 breaker bar if you have abs remove the

small plate above the abs wire before removing the hub.

Thanks for the addition. Every bit helps us save some time and money. Both are limited resources in my book.

  • @bert702 What should an '02 Durango be torqued at??

  • @hichcoc

We used a Chilton or something similar for the torque setting. You would need to look it up in one of those, I do not remember.
