I know this is Liberty Bell, but , I'm sorry, this will always be the Monty Python theme to me.

I am, actually. Born, raised and presently residing in New York state. I wouldn't know where this march is even played. Sporting events? I don't go to them. And I've never attended a parade with a marching band that playing it. The first exposure I've ever had to the march was from watching Monty Python on PBS when I was a kid.

I never even heard the march played or performed outside of Monty Python's Flying Circus. If the march is so great on it's own, why does no one care about it on it's own? Be thankful the Monty Python comedy troupe was there to raise awareness of the march's existence at all, because otherwise no one would care. If Monty Python didn't exist, the march wouldn't be nearly as well known or liked.
