Yes, this is an update, more accurate, video--I still don't know why my voice is out of sync.
Hi my name is Melissa and I'm a participant in the Liddy Shriver Sarcoma Initiative's Team Sarcoma 2007 bike tour. Sarcoma is a rare form of cancer.
I'm participating because there were federal budget cuts to the NIH which caused sarcoma research to be practically halted. My mom also died of synovial sarcoma (soft-tissue cancer) on Oct 12, 2006 so I feel that doing this will honor her. I'm hoping that posting this you tube video will accomplish a few things:
1.) hopefully you'll go to my website and pass out this link to other people you know, my website is www.ts2007mel.com
2.) hopefully you'll also send letters to your state representatives and senators in regards to the federal budget cuts to the NIH.
3.) I'm also hoping you will sponsor me for my participation in the bike tour, all sponsors will be given to the Liddy Shriver Sarcoma Initiative as a donation for sarcoma research.
Thank you!
Melissa
In honor of my mother, Lucia.
I am also a survivor of the same type of cancer :)

Kris, you truly are in an inspiration to everyone!
Please visit the "Spin4Survival" video to see how one sarcoma patient decided to challenge her mind, body and soul, and raise money for cancer research and survivorship programs!

Our son died of Synovial Cell Sarcoma about 3 weeks ago. I admire what you are doing to battle this horrible disease. If you search - Spencer Sarcoma - here you will see a video of him a couple of months before he died on a day he spent with the Rangers. I am sorry for your loss.
