We went to Colorado to view colors,, a little to early.
One of our routes, if we felt it was doable was to get into Crystal via Schofield pass and the Devil's Punch Bowl. I parked at the top and walked it. I figured my arm span would give me a very good idea of the width of the trail. There were only a few areas that are pretty narrow. But the trail before the Bridge is the narrowest of this trail. A video of that is in the making. I am sure if this was wet there are a few areas that would be very nerve wracking.... but it was dry and easier then I had thought it would be. After walking it and knowing where I wanted my tires in the rocky section I was ready. 4LO LO, sway bar disconnected and I let the Jeep do all the work, crawl down,, the bridge could be the most narrowest spot.... not much room on each side... Going up might be a little harder given you have to crawl over the rocky areas but even that I think should be easy enough.. 4LO Lo maybe lockers,,, and let the Jeep do the work. We got to the top via Washington Gulch... very nice trail also.. Gothic Rd was closed about 1 mile before Emerald Lake,, snow blockage...
