I'm sorry, but this case doesn't pass the smell test on a number of levels. It has all the trappings of modern day witch hunt with police and prosecutors eager to further their careers at the expense of truth and reason.

Predictions:

• Most if not all of the allegations are false

• Most if not all of the accused are innocent

• Most if not all the accusers are lying

• Personal vendetta is involved

• No buried glass jars with notes will be found

• No child corpses will be found

One need only examine the mass hysteria and cascading avalanche of increasingly bizarre allegations surrounding the McMartin Day Care episode to see how quickly and how easily people are fooled. In "witch hunts":

• People *want* to believe the allegations

• People *want* to be outraged

• Some people seek vengeance for matters unrelated to the allegations

• Some people seek monetary gain

• Some people seek political gain

• Some people seek career advancement

• Some people seek fame
