In the late 90's, I picked up the actual 35mm trailers for all the three of the Poltergeist movies. I got the trailer for III and took it to the theater to watch it. The ORIGINAL projector that I was going to watch it on was already loaded. So they took it to the projector that was supposed to play Star Wars-The Phantom Menace. The theater was PACKED.

Holy Shiat, that was AWESOME! Some of The Phantom Menace moviegoers were like "What the hell was that?" A few actually cheered though.

I remember after the second one, thinking that if they did make a 3rd one they should wait until Heather O'Rourke is in her 20s at least, and have the spirits come after her and her new husband or something. This movie was bad, and the fact that Heather was ill and died soon afterward didn't help it any. :-(
