Sacramento.- Assemblymember Alyson Huber (D-El Dorado Hills) Chair of the Joint Legislative Audit Committee wants to know why state agencies like the California Department of Health or the State Department of Social Services to mention just two, have failed to fully implement the State Auditor's recommendations that could save the state more than $1.4 billion dollars. Resulting from the audits over the last two years, the State Auditor made 281 recommendations. Of those, the agencies have fully implemented 132 and have partially implemented 88. Currently there are 61 outstanding recommendations in which agencies have taken no action, did not provide a response, or corrective action is pending.
