3. Slim for pocketing
4. Less than $250
5. No fancy settings, or ability to get lost in the awful menu.

try a kodak easy share with 10.3 mexapixels. my step mom has one and so do i and its really a great camera which i highly reccomend.

I'm sure you've already picked one but if not take a look at the Fujifilm S1000fd. It's CDN$299 so it should be close to being under the price you're after.

I would suggest lookng at the canon cameras, as well as the nikon coolpix lines. With what oyu wante though it sounds like the Nikon will be the better choice for you.

At electronics store where I work they have a camera called the Casio EX-S10BE and it seems to be sold out constantly. so I played with one and the menue is super easy to use. not a lot of buttons and quick at taking pictures.
