This has been an excellent opportunity for the US to remind the Japanese of how reliable they can be as their #1 ally, with such an straightforward good will and utmost efficiency in operation. The two nations have taken each other for granted for too long. The quick decision that followed by the quick actions that was initiated by President Obama, seems to have given the Japanese a long-term effect that will help Japan become more reliable ally to the USA.
