The music that The ElastoCitizens present is ass-shaking epic concert making. Grinding guitars, nasty girl-group go-go dancing, feedback basslines, a heavy horn section and multiple singers make their concerts electrifyingly original live music experiences. Their vibrant and intense live shows have earned them comparisons to such varied performers as the Arcade Fire and Sly and the Family Stone.
Schooled in funk and inspired by punk, the Elasto Show is a concert experience like no other: With a trio of dancing-singing girls in glittered go-go boots, a lead singer who seems to be channeling a Dionysian cult-leading preacher, and an entire band who can't stop dancing to their own heavy, joyful rhythm the ElastoCitizens seem to be at once a throwback and at the same time thoroughly rooted in the present. Having played in such festivals as LuminaTO, NxNE, and the Harbourfront Centre the Elastos are most at home filling Toronto venues such as Lee's Palace and The Legendary Horseshoe Tavern.
With a membership comprised of some of the busiest choreographers, musicians, actors and singers in the Canadian entertainment scene -- and with collaborations with some of the best lighting, costume and multi-media designers in Toronto -- the ElastoCitizens delivers a sexy high-octane theatrical music experience that is without equal on the Canadian music scene.
"A heavy dose of danceable funk... an excellent debut."
- Brent Bambury (CBC Radio -- GO: on the Elastos debut album)

"If you were to whip David Bowie, George Clinton, Prince and Beck in a blender, add a dash of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and serve up with the zaniness of Dee-Lite in an old Sly and the Family Stone pair of pants, you'd get the ElastoCitizens."
-toronto metro

"The show is a legend in the making. You must check this group out. Do it for your children."
- torontoexclusive.com

"Eye-Candy Over the Top Funk rock... lead by the "Grand Poobah of Funk", who was part Tinsel Jesus, part Elvis, part Mick Jagger, part Ace Frehley, part George Clinton..
This show was definitely an "I was there" moment!"
