CNN failed to note the material affiliations of some of the audience members who asked questions. And, one of the audience questions included an outrageous lie. Since CNN approved the questions in advance, they're responsible for that lie.

Here's my proposal for better debates:

Here's a rundown of the audience members who asked questions:

Here's a description of a setup question from Campbell Brown and a misleading answer from Barack Obama:

Here are more examples of Obama being misleading at the debate:

And, here's more on the lie about terrorists and the border:

UPDATE: Another audience member who asked a question was Judy Bagley, who has an unknown involvement with the Culinary Workers Union. George Ambriz is also apparently a former president of a chapter of the extremist group MEChA.

  • I've read over the links and there's nothing misleading about what Barack said. Given the time restraints the Candidates have on their answers it doesn't allow them to explain fully.

  • Basketball80: BHO sold "reform" as a panacea, without noting that after "reform" there would be plenty of illegal aliens. That would include those who weren't covered by "reform", as well as newly-arrived IAs who came to be part of Obama's "reform". He also offered "reform" as a panacea to concerns about lowered wages for low-wage workers, when in fact "reform" would make that worse (increased legal competition + new illegal aliens brought in to replace those who were legalized.)

  • CNN lies, i am not going to watch CNN anymore

  • CNN is owned and controlled by the same elites who own the federal reserve, along with 95% of the media.

These men at the top profit from 3 things:

    - dumbed down populations

    - war

    - socialism

    This is your answer.

Ron Paul 2008 - the only man who will change the system.

  • @colala2 Notice that the same idiots who watch this crap always ALWAYS call the critics "Fox News supporters." Says everything about how ridiculous their lies are. They can't even tell a half-baked lie!

  • What terrorist entered the country from the Mexican border?

  • This is a very choppy video. The guy stating terrorists have not come from Mexico is correct. This video was posted before two failed terror attacks on the US and both were entering, or already in, the country legally. I think you might just have to accept the fact that smart people with computers and TV's and the ability to absorb current events in real time have left leaning points of view, whereas the people recieving carrier pigeon notes from FNC are....idiots.

  • You stupid sheep, you have been lied to about CNN lying. This video proves nothing at all, he gave no evidence of his accusations and CNN cannot control what their interviewees are going to say. When it comes from a CNN commentator, then you can spew your lie nonsense.

  • Thank you, someone who actually thinks for themselves

  • Who video poster, you just totally contradicted yourself.

You said this guy lied for saying "no terrorist come from the southern border". Then you say "no one knows how many[illegals] could be terrorist"

There you go, no one knows how many of them "could" be terrorist...in fact for all we know, none of them "could" be terrorist or all of them "could" be terrorist.

So if it is not based off a fact, then it "could" be an opinion and "could" statements are not factual evidence

  • So people who start wars (Iraq, Afghanistan) that have cost the American people little below one trillion dollars and have taken the lives of 754 000 people (including US soldiers), even when not one single country attacked your country, are not ruining your country?

You should watch "Outfoxed" document if you think Fox isn't biased.

If this is the best they can come up with CNN's "lies" then you haven't seen anything when it comes to what Fox spews out of its far right fear mongering mouth.

  • The "no terrorist has come from our southern border" could and probably actually meant that Hispanics aren't coming up to commit terrorist acts. I highly doubt he's talking about terrorist from other nations using the Mexico-US border.

  • wow..kinda creapy cuz i just met that george guy today..he's from douglas az wher i met him..he very smart BUT i guess a liar..???lol
