Peter Hirshberg tries and reviews the Copenhagen wheel, amazed that the bike that "rides itself." Though realizing that the bike is controlled by an iPhone make Hirshberg ask, "Isnt this a fly by wire bike? What happened to my gear shift and hand brake?"
can't someone just do a simple, objective review of this thing, where they go up some hills etc., maybe with one person on a regular bike, another on a Copenhagen wheel?Does the inventor in the green shirt have to be present in every single Copenhagen wheel video?

re: the iPhone, go back and watch more recent videos. The iPhone is no longer required. In one video, the person being interviewed said, "any smartphone" and in multiple videos, they now mention a switch you can throw on the wheel if you don't have a phone at all. So again, it does *not* require an iPhone anymore.

I was all excited about this, but now hearing that you have to have a phone (and an iphone no less) to use it just kills it for me. Perhaps release a version that is phone free?

I think it only works on single-speed bikes, right?

@hodu9090, well said. It's beautiful soup: absolute nonsense, just as you noted. Thanks for saying.

This would be cool except for the iphone integration. I'm not buying a useless iphone just to get the Copenhagen wheel.
