The Esquire Motel A Classic Neon Sign

One drives along and sees the same boring bland signage different variations of a square box with white lites illuminating some plastic tranient business. Then all of a sudden comes a defiant blaze of color rising on the left as I drive down Elston Ave. in Chicago.There it is shattering the conformity of the street The Esquire Motel looking like it's from another time but still hanging on. It is a magnificent multi color sign with a flashing arrow more than fifty years old and still working.

Thank you for putting this video up! I want to say for the record if choosing between a business with a boring light box and modern corporate graphics and one like this with real style and flair, I'm going neon every time. It's actually that important to me. Businesses used to care about wanting my business enough to dazzle my eye. It might cost more to maintain a sign like this, but they'd have my business and probably a lot more people feel the same way as me. Thanks! :-)
