The Finale Duet.

this is the story i imagine.....

there is a woman getting ready for a night out with her husband... she stands in front of a mirror. puts red lipstick on. straightens out her dress. arranges her hair just how he likes it. she shows some skin. just for him to notice.
he comes in from work... just ready to explode. from guilt. he is angry when he sees her. all because the anger is the easiest thing for a man to feel. he wonders what the hell she is all dressed up for, since he doesn't even think she is beautiful anymore. tells her to take off that awful lipstick.. take down that hair. and then he tells her...

that he couldn't help himself.
that it is what it is.
so simple.
he has fallen in love with someone else.
shrugging his shoulders.
shrugging off the blame.

and she...
looks herself over.
she knows that after all these years.
after her body carrying his child.
after she has molded into only his wife... she knows she is ruined. no other man will love her. she has already been too worn.

and he wants to wash his hands of them. or her. for it all to disappear. so that he can move on. all spotless and new. he resents her.

she wants to be numb so she doesn't have to feel the pain. or the loneliness. or the reality of being done. of being old and unloved.

"take it all away.
so i don't feel it anymore"

now.. it is beyond repair.
everything they are... now, just snapshots. like in a memory book.

she looks to him to make her feel okay.

and he just wants her to be okay.
so that he can walk away
without feeling guilty.

Teddy is my dream guy. As a dancer, I feel every step he takes in my spirit, and he has more talent than I've ever seen. Just by seeing this video a long time ago, when he first came on SYTYCD, I knew it was him just by watching him move. Kelsey is also so talented, but I can't help but watch Ted <3.
