Hellsingland Underground - Hello Germany!

Way up in the North of Sweden, located in a county called "Hälsingland" there's a little place called Ljusdal (in English: "the valley of light"), known for it's beautiful landscapes, deep Bauer-like forests, blue mountains and satanic folk songs. But also for its unemployment, low education and high crime rate.
It is also the hometown of Charlie Granberg, the founder, singer and major songwriter of HELLSINGLAND UNDERGROUND. And even though this sophisticated, gentle poet claimed to "hate Ljusdal like the plague", it obviously seems to be a perfect breeding ground for some of the most moving and melancholic Southern Rock-epics, one ever might have witnessed since that legendary "At Fillmore East"-record by the Allman Brothers Band - plain simple beauty of extraordinary depth, poured into notes and chords for eternity and accompanied by lyrics, which deal about the own childhood, lost friendships, drug-addiction, the alienation of people weather living in the city or on the country-side, as well as any aspects of live, loving and dead. Moreover, since their foundation in 2006 HELLSINGLAND UNDERGROUND have acquired themselves a reputation as a brilliantly breath-taking live-band.
On April, 16th 2010 their awesome second hit-record "Madness And Grace" was released on the band's own label KILLED BY RECORDS, which peaked on #6 in the Swedish charts and is also supported by "Jack Daniel's Distilled Tracks".
