Last part of the highlights. I added a great point by Roger from the semi-final because the video was too short

  • Nadal's peak has already come and gone.

  • that's because even tho Fed's today level is way lower than in his prime it's still enough for him to get most of the slams. That's why he's the goat imo

I think Federer would still win the same stuff he did back in the mid 00's with tougher competition cause when he was forced to play brilliantly he did. People forget (even Agassi's words) that you don't have to play brilliantly to defeat your oponent, You ONLY have to play better than him and that's what fed did and is still doing now in GS's

  • @mainhoondon21, their head-to-head match-up isn't relevant to the GOAT discussion, out of Rafa's 17 wins, 12 have been on clay, that's 70%, minus clay, Fed leads 6-5, in year end tour championship matches, Fed leads 3-0, on grass, Fed leads 2-1, on hard-court it's all even at 4-4, but all that really matters is what each player has achieved against the entire field and Fed has the edge there.

  • "That was not necessary Roger: we already know you strike the ball better than anyone, don't... come on!"

"Anything you can do, i can do better"

It's so true sometimes commentators are an actual part of the show (even watching Roger ;) )

  • Crap,i miss agassi's backhand.Such a sharp angled, flat shot.Rare this days to see this kind of backhand,Its all about spins now.Probably the only person who can create angles like agassi did is djokovic.

  • @mainhoondon21 yeh thats my point; ppl should only look at the results and not make 1001 excuses.

nah theres not gonna come along someone thats gonna beat a record of 16 plus slams. the only way thats possible is that if u get another situation like 2004-2007 where there was a generation gap (great players retired , the next great wave not arrived yet) and u have one great player (federer) that stacks up all the prices. if that fdoesnt happen its pretty impossible someone wins that many.

  • @thisnamealsotaken In either case, Federer has 16 titles, regardless of the head-to-head against Nadal. That's the most of any men so until Nadal crosses it, it would be unfair to call him the greatest. And I'm sure in like a decade, someone else will come along and beat that record too so I guess in essence the argument is fruitless.

  • @bjdm3089 yeh it is so scary seeing a 35 year old man get beaten lol. so ironic now when roger loses, u guys say hes old at 30 LOL.

  • @mainhoondon21 LOL nadal was fkin 19 years old and not even arrived at the top rankings yet, wtf do u want him to play the us open final at that period???

the problem about the goat argument is that the fans of both sides, esp the federer side, speak half of the truth. for example they say roger is old now when he loses (they started with that in 2008 btw) but i didnt see any of them say anything about age during these matches when roggie was beating a THIRTY FIVE year old agassi.

  • at 0:23 Agassi actually hit a very powerful forehand into the forehand side of the court. Seeing Federer get to that ball and hit it back with interest is definitely the amazing speed that was only seen during his highest level of play.
