Roosevelt - as much, as it seemed back then, good he did for this country - putting people to work, the work programs etc., he was and is, as are his sons, a miserable bastard. He was all for a world for the rich, like himself and the rest of the people he couldn't care less about. He was the first to put into public view this New World Order. The only other President's who did this so overtly were the Bush's. They destroyed whatever threads of hope there were for this country, with their NWO

the Republican party is doing almost exactly what they were doing 90 years ago...support the wealthy by letting them do whatever they like because the private market knows best. Goldman Sachs swiped us for billions and we gave it. what does goldman sachs do? At least the auto industry makes cars...what does Goldman Sachs make? Derivative bets that only enrich a few and bankrupt the rest. Ridiculous beyond belief and all I hear are Republicans calling for hands off, and Ron Paul hating gov't

Jeez...sounds eerily similar to the Great Recession...guess which political party was in dominance right before both the Great Depression and Great Recession? Your hunch is correct. The answer is the REPUBLICAN PARTY.

I think western Canada was hit especially hard because it was mostly grain producers. There was severe drought during this time and most countries blocked imports so the people had no one to buy their grain if they had any. I think it was estimated 50% of the workforce was unemployed.

@ocean3684 The "more intelligent people" have caused the deaths of millions of regular people through out history. If you can only try to vilify me and my opinion just be silent. If on the other hand you find facts that can disrepute my opinion do so. For you will be responsible for the souls that you cause to err by your words. Go educate yourself at the site posted in my earlier comments. If you can show my facts are wrong I will acknowledge that. Will you do the same towards mine.

Roosevelt had the people hand in there gold at $20 an oz then when the government had it he made it worth $36 an oz. If he liked the people he would have made it worth $36 then had them turn it in. Making the people richer. Of course the new world order wanted the people poor.

Roservelt had ordered the banks to close. The people making vidio this must be Democrats why else would they lie about this.

My great grandmother who was a widow worked at a post office during the depression in Alberta, Canada. My grandmother said they didn't have a lot but they were happy. People would travel great distances to pick up their mail at their house. They would usually offer them a cup of tea and some apples if they had any. The biggest thing they would do is have dances. They would ride for miles to go to one.
