Dir Ernst Lubitsch. Charles Boyer, Jennifer Jones. Plenty of sophisticated dialogue, jokes, and innuendos from this the penultimate film of Herr Lubitsch. This is my second favourite Lubitsch film of the forties. Region 1 DVD of Cluny Brown pretty much unavailable.

Ohhhh! This is my FAVORITE movie, and I can't buy it anywhere! ... I've been missing it for like three years!

I was lying on the sofa with flu the first time I saw it. It's the entertainment equivalent of comfort food.

Thanks for uploading this little gem of a movie!! I had not heard of it, though I am a fan of Boyer. I love discovering films, that one moment an unknown, and the moment after viewing it, you feel like you just opened a wonderful gift. Its a fun, light-hearted comedy, and though I'm usually drawn more to drama & noir genres, I still love a film of this type from time to time. why is she talking so strangely? Is that suppose to be an accent? Besides that,she's one of those people who jump from subject to subject,without letting the person she's talking to know about it. I know one woman like that,don't I peggy?lol
