  • youre canadian....i can tell...

  • @revdocken Any app that uses the internet to refresh is news feeds just change the refresh rate, say every two hours would do more to give you better battery life then any Task Killer would.

I personally do not use a Task Killer and my LG Optimus V gets about 12 - 18 hours on the stock battery on Medium/Heavy use, and still have 30% left.

  • @Imusicstudios

A Task Killer really dude, the live clock is what using all your battery. I leave my 3g on and I only see about 1% every 2 to 3 hours in standby (screen off), I do not use a task killer and no task that are in the RAM but idle are not using the CPU timing at all, only when they are in the foreground do they start using the CPU.

Changing when Apps like Facebook and Twitter and Email Apps refresh will do more to save power then any App Killer well.

  • i would loose another 20% battery if i install all those apps.

  • I just purchased a galaxy S2.This is my first android. When I check the battery usage,it shows that“phone standby"is depleting over 50%.Since I’m not using the phone where I am at present, only the wifi/gps. (no sim installed) I need to turn off the the phone standby but keep the screen active. For over ten years I've gotten by with a palm trio 650 on it I had a switch for turning the phone on and off. And keeping the pda/computer part of it running. How do I do that with the galaxy?

    Thanks
