first off, the vulcan is also a 3.0, and paying extra for a 155hp over 200hp? I think you got ripped. also the SHO Engines were Yamahas not SHO's and they came in 3.0 (MTX) 3.2 (ATX) and in 96-99 the V8 was a 3.4...I highly doubt you put a V8 in a 1988...

@Poustyle5868 Still love the Duratecs, used to have one in my Contour, and while the low RPM torque was shit, it sounded sweet once ya got it in the powerband...and hell it outlasted the car itself.

maybe, but it will guarenteed destroy your little BMX bike.

quick question man... and btw i love fords. i got a 1993 mrecury sable 3.0 GS. i put a new exhaust and ram/cold air intake. i also restored the compression, new spark plugs, cleand the valve covers, cleaned the fuel injectors and sealed up the piston rings and the wall with engine RESTORE. I also put in a little heavier oil. I plan on getting performance tires on it too. do you think it can beat a ricer, or any other little honda? it has a hell of alot of kick

Pay extra for a 3.0L Vulcan? The Vulcan is the base model motor. It puts out 145HP and Nothing more. Plus its an OHV so there isn't much you can do with it.
The 3.0L Duratec is a DOHC and puts approximately 200 down Stock.
As for the SHO's the 3.4L Yamaha wouldn't fit in the engine bay because its a V8. You need to check your facts before you start trying to show off.
