This brings back memories, but I think I heard a somewhat different version, although it was in the same style as the music played in this video. You especially heard the song during commercials and stuff. I think it was back in 1994 when I first saw an airing of TCC when we were visiting some acquaintances in Rotterdam, which had acces to more channels there. I also remembered watching a cartoon with robot versions of Romeo and Julia, which looked a bit like the Megaman character.

it was on Eutelsat 1 at 0.1degs I think initially, on the older/first receivers it was the first channel you found and I used to manually move my dish to it and tune the sat in that way, this was in Horizontal polarization and Rai Uno was in vertical or vice versa. either way you had this, screensport rai uno, sat 1 3sat and a few others. Watching satellite became my hobby seeing what was up there and I saw the first night of MTV. I loved Emma Freud who I tweet on twitter from time to time

@wrtlpfmpf On Astra 1C satellite ch 34 TCC timeshared with Family Channel/Challenge TV.

Ahh it used to be on that transponder in the morning. It shared it with another channel, I believe it was UK-living or something. On that transponder they also had the sound of some commercials replaced by this theme. I figured that it must have been some cable feed.

I have a clip identical to this on an old VCR tape. I loved the music back then. Cool!

Ohh they used to be on 2 transponders on 19,2° East for a while. Television was so much simpler back then, just look at the instructions.

But The Children's Channel stayed til 7pm in mid 1991 because it became TCC in the evenings at 5pm and could this be 1992 !!
This music rocks. I remember sitting up in the early morning at 6am at weekends listening to this. TCC is the original Cartoon channel. A big shame that it closed down.
