Rant on Art Thieves

I know I said that I left Youtube but Veoh bored me xD
And most of my friends/fans/inspirations are on Youtube so I'm back!

And I got the BEST welcome back gift! A whole bunch of Art Thieves that are stealing Marim23, Maya (Can't remember the numbers behind her name O-O But it's Marim23's sister) MelodyFan12, etc. (Sorry if your name isn't listed. I don't know all the people who are having there art taken.)
And being the lover of all types of art that I am, I decided to join the one-sided fight xD

O.o Huh?

I'm not talking about fanart, I'm talking about People taking the actually picture someone else made and posting it, saying that they drew it. Then when the person sees the picture in a video, they say that they're the person who drew it and the actual artist stole it from them.

Fanart isn't a form of stealing because you actually drew it for the person, you didn't take it directly from a video they posted or their website.

@n00bian5 well I was wondering what if you used a base that belonged to someone else but you stated that you didnt own the base it sounds like a stupid question but would that still be stealing or no because you gave credit to the owner by saying you didnt own it.

@cookie3391 I don't personally think it's stealing if you use a base and say it's not yours. But you should always give credit to whoever made it, just to say for sure you didn't steal it.

I've seen my share of art theives, and I've even had art stolen from me. But while I try to prevent are theift am I the only one who notices alot of art theifs start with sonic stuff?

@daylite34 Fool. I was there from the beginning. It started out as a legit site. Now it's dominated with stupid little whores taking pics of themselves. Its a mere myspace clone, ever since Jark's friends betrayed him and sold DA out like a cheap prostitute to various companies like Mountain Dew. DA can kiss my ass.

This is why I left deviantart, and all those other myspace-type art galleries. I got tired of people stealing my work. I'll spend hours working on something, and some little brat will take my work and run around saying its his/hers. It got even worse when I started seeing my stuff on tattoo websites. For this reason, I've abandoned both DA and SA (which is where the banned deviants go) I hated the damn site ever since it went political.
