  • May I ask do you need to boil it by yourself later or the blender will do it for you?

  • I hope you didn't drink that.

  • Unfortunately the bearing and seal aren't replaceable. They are heat sealed in the jar. Hey, Blendtec, if you are going to design and sell a jar with a defective seal, which will destroy the bearing, and therefore the whole jar, AT LEAST MAKE THE DAMN BEARING REPLACEABLE! I'd rather replace the damn bearing and/or seal every couple of years instead of the whole jar ($70).

I talked to a smoothie booth manager at a nearby mall, and she said her jars crap out a lot , and it's damn expensive!

  • The Blendtec is a powerhouse.I like the shape of the container and the touchpad compared to the Vitamix. They look out dated and bulky HOWEVER the Blendtec's DEFECTIVE seal destroys the jar.The new design is suppose to last, I believe only 20% longer.

My lightly used blender crapped out right after the warrenty expired.

Slowly spin your bearing and see if it rotates smoothly. If it feels rough, then the bearing might be going bad. Look for black streaks under the splined drive. How old is it?

  • i noticed the bearings on the blendtec seem to have alot of play in them compared to the vitamix which seem to be no play or give in them. I wonder if that is a design charactoristic or is it a manufacturing defect. Seems Vitamix is much better about giving 5-8 year warrantees on the blenders and containers, where Blendtec only comes with a 3 year warrantee.

  • I wish I could do this with my Blendtec blender, but the seal at the bottom of the jar wore out and leaked the liquids into the bearing, ruining it. The jat aint cheap! It cost me about $70 to replace out of warrenty. The blender cost about $300, and now I have to pay more for a new jar. I wish I bought a Vita Mix blender.

I hear they are great blenders.

  • 你在那裡買?

  • do you have to strain after blending?

  • Did you add water to the soy seeds or just soy by itself?
