NT Review Crew's third review in which we spontaneously choose a movie and watch it and review it.
Today's pick - Hulk Hogan in "Santa With Muscles".

Special thanks to Mizzy for drawing the lovely pictures. We added annotations so you can see what she wrote.

  • @normantweeter Ya gotta show a united front. Granted two puppets can have different opinions but must not disagree in the comments. :)

  • Well, yes and no. We are different people, after all. We share the youtube account because we're one performance company. The only reason that I didn't bring up Princess Bride is because Andre didn't star in that - it was an ensemble cast. Plus, although he gave a wonderful performance in that film, anecdotes from the set give me the impression that he really wasn't that much of an actor... which is okay, because it was his first performance.

  • @normantweeter ROFL are ya'll disagreeing with your selfs in the comments.

  • This is Gordon- I heartily disagree. I've seen several good movies that featured professional wrestlers. First and foremost- The Princess Bride with Andre the Giant!

  • ROFL no they still are horrid movies. I don't think he did that bad in them though.

  • Oh, sure. We know that wrestlers can act. But the scripts they're given are usually crappy and based on bad "high concepts." The Hulk Hogan films that I remember seeing when I was a kid were "Suburban Commando" and "Mr. Nanny", which I remember as being painfully bad to watch, despite being 11 (or thereabouts) at the time. Perhaps I'll feel differently watching them fully-grown. -Paul.

  • Okay, now here is the thing, I never get why people are shocked wrestlers can act. That is their job, granted they act like muscle bound shouting idiots most of the time but yeah, they are actors and usually decent ones. There have been some flop movies. But if you look at the wrestler who put them out.. their wrestling career usually sucks as well.
