The Texian Army and Houston Supporter take over Pizza Hut Park as the Dynamo defeated FC Dallas 3-1 on June 13, 2009.

Earlier in the week, the Dynamo beat Chivas USA 1-0 on June 10, 2009.

  • That's why the East Coast has it great. It's only a relatively small drive, train, or flight to get to multiple cities. Boston, NY, Philly, DC... and then extend it to Chicago, Columbus.

    It takes us 4-5 hrs to get Dallas and 12-13 hrs to get to KC.

  • Texians is the name for immigrants from the United States and countries other than Mexico who became residents in the Tejas and Coahuila areas of Mexico, much of which later would be called Texas.

  • too bad dallas can't even draw flies, cause this could be one of the best rivalries in MLS.

  • Texas was once knows an The Republic of Texas. They gained their independance from a once powerful Mexico nation. They capture General Santa Ana at The Battle of San Jacinto.

    The famous cry of "Remember The Alamo" was from this war.

    Texas was once a nation and they were free.

    Alot of Texans say Texas is still it's own country so Texian would fit.

  • Ahh yes, so the name makes perfect sense if only this were the 19th century. ;- )

    Maybe Gov. Perry will re-adopt this vernacular as part of his secession strategy!
