Though I should also note that I showed this video to someone who was a kid in the 50s and remembers when this film first came out, and she didn't see it as racist like I did and perceived the cats to be graceful and cute. She also said that cartoons we now consider to be racially insensitive were on TV all the time in the 50s and into the 60s and people just didn't give a thought about racial sensitivity at the time.

@brian1982100 I think they're racist as well. Doesn't mean they're bad films. Sometimes, it's funny to look back at them and think lol, racism.
Like I still like Birth of a Nation because it's a well-made film and that whole "lol, racism" thing, though one also has to remember that many black people were killed after Birth of a Nation came out and became the hit that it was.

What is your opinion about the anti-German/Japanese cartoon shorts that Walt Disney created during WWII? What is your opinion about Mickey Rooney's portrayal of Audrey Hepburn's neighbor in "Breakfast at Tiffany's"?

Ahh, that's good ol' fashioned family racism courtesy of Classic Disney.

My poor little innocent angels ? Lol .

I keep repeating to myself "1955, 1955, 1955". Just like when I last saw Peter Pan and saw the offensive Native American stereotype song and how sexist it was that Wendy was just sitting there doing nothing or doing the chores, I just kept saying "1952, 1952, 1952" If I had a time machine, using it to go back to the 50's to give someone a kick in the gut doesn't seem like such a bad use...

@TheLonelyImmortal Wow, the voice of wisdom.

@cynthx I know! But that's what people do now they run around trying to find racism in everything. By the way, what the hell are they doing looking at it if it's so racist? It's a cartoon idiot's!

@PRE1959 Just two cute cats with buck teeth. Just sayin', bro.

I never noticed the buck teeth. . .

Classic Disney is so racist that it becomes funny.

Asian-esque cats with slanted eyes, buck teeth, and they speak broken English pronouncing l's as r's. Yep, totally not racist.
