@bowlersguru what is your masters style exactly and where did you train with him. was it in the states? the style looks profoundly useful. i can see many applications that are practical.
this is my master, i learned from him at the age of 9 in pj, on the first day he asked me to beat him with a stick...wtf?! really? ..so he made me hit him across the back with this 2x4 ..of course it didn't hurt him.
one of the best things i got out of training were the 2 boxes of rocks he had next to the badminton court.. there we would do the horse stance and dig our hands in and swim in them.
Today, I have hands as strong as steel and confident to punch through wood doors if i needed to. TQ
I am sure you can take him and win the challenge. Yip Ching Hai has travelled widely and DEFINITELY been defeated a number of times even at the peak of his training.
His defeats were not only in Malaysia but in overseas countries.
But I must insist that his teacher, GM Chee Kim Thong was NEVER defeated. He is masterful. Honest truth.
You must be not bad, especially to have spotted that you could take him on > that is, Yip Ching Hai.
This video was taken in the Nan Shao Lin (Southern Shaolin) Conference in 2006, in one of the buildings in the the newly restored temple itself. The town is QuanQou in Fujian Province.
The form is called 'Wu Zu Ru Yi Quan', literally Five Ancestors Soft & Hard Form/Fist. It is actually a combination styles and a 'composition' of Master.
To find out more, drop me a message on my personal area.
Absolutely wonderful.
